What a lovely day we had with Peabody today. A leisurely drive to Sidlesham just south of Chichester to meet Bob and Pat (family) for lunch at the Crab & Lobster. Peabody is still running in so we didn’t go more than about 40mph – much to the annoyance of some drivers who make a point of accelerating very close by with lots of revs and hand signals which I’ve not noticed in the highway code.
The Crab & Lobster was reassuringly expensive for the relatively small portions of food served. However, that’s the fashion of the master-chef-gastro-pub age in which we find ourselves.
After our very tasty and very high quality lunch, we drove to the West Beach at Selsey followed by the East Beach. The sun shone brightly in the strong breeze as we sauntered along the promenade blowing out a few of those cobwebs.
