Last weekend we drove over to Arundel Town Hall to see how long the journey took in preparation for a wedding that I have asked to chauffeur for today. Arundel is a lovely old village and boasts a beautiful castle which has been home to the Dukes of Norfolk for around 1000 years.
On arriving, we decided to go on a walk around the castle moat and pop into the village for a cup of tea. There are several interesting antiques shops in the main street in which one of them houses an amazing camera shop selling literally thousands of antique cameras. (I have found his web page since arundel-photographica.co.uk). From plate cameras to more modern 35mm Canon, Minolta, Olympus, and Pentax models – this shop is a photographer’s garden of delights. If you are interested in old cameras and lenses, I urge you to visit – I came very close to buying an old Rolleiflex.
Anyway, Today’s the Wedding Day!
I have a very busy day ahead chauffeuring five bridesmaids to Arundel Town Hall. And afterwards, the bride and groom to the reception. I’m a very lucky boy!
And I’m praying for fine weather.
